Project Description:
In 2004, an accessibility and renovation study was conducted to report the structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, masonry, and roofing systems for the First Congregational Church (1844), in conjunction with providing cost estimates for upgrading each system. Also included was a proposed design solution to make the community area of the church completely handicap accessible in compliance with the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board regulations. This included a new LULA elevator and the addition of two new unisex handicap accessible restrooms.
