Scope: Schematic Design
Project Description:
The schematic design proposal was prepared in response to an RFP for a new fire station for the town of Mattapoisett. The project included a three double bay drive through garage, office space for the chief and deputy chief, day rooms for the firefighters, a multi-purpose conference room, and locker room facilities. The 2nd level of the apparatus bay would be used for storage or for future bunk rooms. Future planning for the station includes two extra bays. The facility is located between The Village at Mattapoisett, a 36 unit residential community, and the Mattapoisett Police Station. This proposal introduced design features of these neighbors in order to blend in with its surroundings.
