Head of the Bay
Wareham, MA
Scope: Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
Completion Date: 2001-2003
Project Description:
The design for this new 7,500 square foot oceanfront custom home on Buzzard’s Bay was done in traditional shingle style. With exterior features that demonstrate scale and rhythm, the design also incorporates a unique octagon form, resembling that of a lighthouse. The interiors, with their extensive millwork and detailing also pick up on the home’s nautical theme. Designed to be handicap accessible, the first floor consists of a kitchen, great room, library, master bedroom suite, and exercise room. The house was featured in a book by Author Ashley Rooney, “Shingle Style Houses Past & Present” Published by: Schiffer Publishing Ltd.
